In hindsight, we realise there were so many little synchronicities leading us to the name 'Bluestones Coffee'.
Firstly there is the link to the Tanzanite - this strikingly beautiful, deep blue stone that is unique to Tanzania, where we met.
In contrast to the huge, powerful Bluestones of the Preseli Hills, in Wales.
Ailsa, the Geologist, has always had a deep-rooted fascination with all things earthly.
Rocks and crystals speak to her, and the greenish-grey Dolerites with their creamy-white snowflakes, were no different!
However, there was more for us to discover...
Over the last decade, geologists have proved that the ‘inner circle’ of standing stones at Stonehenge come from an exact location in the Preseli Hills in West Wales.
This begs the question how did our ancestors (4,500 years ago) transport these massive 2 tonne rocks all the way from West Wales to the Salisbury Plain?
And perhaps, more importantly, why?
Digging deeper, we have found that these special 'blue stones' have been used for their healing properties for thousands of years.
It's no wonder that they were so widely used in stone circles and as standing stones.
You can feel these energies, when you walk amongst them.
Then the final piece of the puzzle was found in the garden of our new home.
There, in the corner of the garden, overlooking the Preseli Hills, was our very own Standing Stone.
